ABOUT US

The Rajiv Gandhi Shiksha Mission was setup as an autonomous registered society headed by the   Chief Minister of the state, to supplement the state government's effort to universalize elementary education in Madhya Pradesh. Initially setup as a mission for primary education it became a mission for Universalizing Elementary Education (UEE) and was entrusted with the responsibility of developing coordinating and implementing programmes for UEE in the year 1999.

The Rajya Shiksha Kendra is State government's apex academic body for the school education department of Madhya Pradesh. It is an umbrella head of three institutions. These are:

•  Rajiv Gandhi Shiksha Mission, M.P.

•  State Council of Educational Research and Training and

•  Adult Education. 

The Commissioner is Head of the Rajya Shiksha Kendra.
